Hey there Delilah

I know times are getting hard
But just believe me girl
Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar
We'll have it good
We'll have the life we knew we would
My word is good

Hey there Delilah
I've got so much left to say
If every simple song I wrote to you
Would take your breath away
I'd write it all
Even more in love with me you'd fall
We'd have it all

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me

The Recipe for a Bad Day

Take 1 cup of waking up way too early.
Mix in 2 cups of broken into car.
Find 1 iPod, adapter, briefcase, checkbook, and passport are stolen.
Speak to 4 people before filing 1 police report.
Spend 45 minutes filing online insurance claim.
Wait on the phone for 20 minutes to report the stolen checks.
Waste 2 hours on public transportation with no iPod.
Add in $$$ to replace what is gone.
Let sit countless hours/days while insurance claim processes.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

Update
So, as noted, I have to take the bus/lightrail downtown this afternoon to get to the practice space to load up for the show tonight. I am absolutely dreading spending a couple hours on public transportation with no iPod to distract me. I had a bright idea, though, my phone can play music. Sure it has a very small memory, I can probably only put 1 CD on there, but that will be enough. Then I reached for the cable to connect to my computer and remembered that cable is in my briefcase WHICH WAS STOLEN!!!!! Then I remembered that my hard drive was also in that briefcase. I didn't even tell the claims people about that, I had forgetten it was in there. Great, this just gets better and better.
